Am I eligible to work as a Doctor in Australia?

New Zealand Trained Doctors

The great news is that Australia recognises the New Zealand Medical Degree or post graduate qualifications and if you are a New Zealand citizen then Immigration requirements are not an issue.

Overseas Trained Doctors

If you are currently working in, or have post graduate qualifications in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, South Africa, USA, Canada, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark or Singapore * then we have a number of positions for you!

If you are an overseas trained doctor and not from a country detailed above then you must have completed AMC MCQ part 1 examination, English proficiency exam and have at least 4 years full time General Practice experience in your country for Ochre Recruitment to process your application for an Area of Need position.

*experience and qualifications from additional countries may be recognised in New Zealand.
